A true horror film

The preborn baby is shown 'desperately moving away from the probe,

kicking and squirming as if to defend itself against an invader'

How can abortion be justified if infanticide cannot be?

The movie Unplanned is based

on the true story of Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director who, when she witnesses an actual surgical abortion, becomes so traumatized that she quits and becomes part of the pro-life movement.

Motion picture censors gave the film an R rating, according to Fox News, which means youngsters under 18 can't be admitted to a viewing without parental permission.

The fuss is over several graphic scenes, including imagery of the abortion that horrified Johnson, according to Lauren Green, a Fox religion correspondent, who got an advance peek at the film.

"It's shown only through the cameras of an ultrasound," Green writes. "But it depicts the fetus desperately moving away from the probe, kicking and squirming as if to defend itself against an invader.

"The scene is heart-wrenching and difficult to watch. I had to cover my eyes at the point where its tiny feet and legs were ripped from the body and sucked out through the tube."

Johnson wrote in a Fox News opinion piece:
The fetus was 13-weeks-old and I could easily see it’s head, arms, and legs. The abortion instrument – a suction tube – was on the screen as well. The baby jumped away from it but it was all for naught. The abortionist turned on the suction and I saw that baby get sucked apart right in front of me on the screen and inches from the probe I was holding."
